Mosaic Polishing in Vadapalani, Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Mosaic floor polishing — bringing the pattern back

Old mosaic and terrazzo floors are worth keeping. The chips and colour bands that looked dated for a while are now a feature, and a properly finished mosaic floor is cool, hard-wearing and easy to clean. The problem is usually decades of grime, worn joints and a finish that has gone flat.

SR Marble Polishing Solutions grinds and polishes mosaic and terrazzo floors to bring the pattern back up. In-house crew, since 2009.

What we do

• Grind the surface to remove the worn layer and reveal clean chips.
• Hone in stages so the surface reads even, not smeared.
• Re-fill joints and small chips where needed.
• Polish to a low or medium sheen — your choice, since mosaic can look too glassy if overdone.
• Optional sealer to slow staining and make cleaning easier.

Why go slow

Mosaic responds to a steady, fine sequence. Rushing grits on terrazzo leaves a mottled look that never quite clears. We would rather do one extra pass than overcook the surface.

Rates

As a guide, Rs.15–30 per sq.ft depending on condition and finish level, with large areas and steps quoted separately.
